Welcome to our new staff member DTang

We are very excited to welcome to our team our new equipment room assistant - David Tang. David is currently doing honors in Screen Studies at Flinders University and is a passionate film maker. As we now have Dai, Dave and David - we are calling him DTang (as many already do)!!

Dave and DTang will be working together to strengthen our committment to provide our valued customers with strong technical service and support. They look forward to answering even your most challenging queries!

Sony NEX-FS100P (call it the FS100)

Hire for $250 /day + GST

At last a real alternative to the DSLR cameras. This camera is a little brother to the fabulous F3, and features the same Super35 sensor. This gives it the same shallow depth of field look as DSLR’s but with all the convenience of a proper video camera.

Other features include:

• full audio capability
• viewfinder with zebra and peaking
• interchangeable lenses
• record times from 2.5 hours, up to 5 hours on 32 GB SD cards
• progressive or interlaced

Sony 444 and S-log upgrade for the F3 camera

Hire the F3 for $330 / day + GST

This upgrade for the F3 now allows twin HDSDI outputs to be used to record uncompressed 444 video. This is ideal for the highest quality work including features and precision green screen work.

The upgrade also includes the S-log capability. This allows the gamma curve to be manipulated to capture more detail in the blacks and the whites, giving a much extended dynamic range. S-log can be used either with 444 or 422 recording.

64GB SxS cards

Record up to 200 minutes per card on an EX-1, EX-3 or 350 giving a total continuous recording time of 6 hours and 40 minutes using both slots.

Small HD Monitor

Hire for $65 / day + GST

Small in name and small in size (5.6 inches), but huge in performance. This beautiful on-camera monitor has HDSDI/SDI inputs with loop though as well as HDMI, and powers from canon batteries or Dtap. Fantastic picture quality and very robust. False colour, peaking and focus in red.

LED light panel

Hire for $50 / day + GST

This 1 foot square LED panel is daylight balanced and is powered by V-Lock batteries. Sensational for lighting interviews, even outside, but can also be dimmed or insert the filter for a tungsten look. Surprisingly powerful, it’s a real alternative to the Kinoflow, but easier to travel with, and work with (no power leads).
